Wine tastings, wine dinners and a wine walk through art galleries and stores are just part of the activities scheduled for Savor Cannon Beach, a weekend wine and culinary festival.Participants in Saturday’s wine walk purchase a glass for $25 and can visit over 20 Cannon Beach businesses for wine tastings featuring Northwest wineries.

The Winter Wine Tour is in its third year and all proceeds benefit the Cannon Beach Children’s Center. The Cannon Beach Chamber of Commerce will offer a selection of wine, food and travel related packages in a silent auction during the wine walk.

Friday, March 12th – from 5-7pm, The Ocean Lodge will host a wine tasting event featuring select Oregon wines with an emphasis on Pinot Noirs. Brian Doyle, author of “The Grail” will appear at the tasting for a reading and book signing at the Friday night tasting. Doyle’s book documents a full year in the life of  Willamette Valley’s Lange Winery where he captures, with wonderful spirit and lively writing, the winemaker’s pursuit of taking the world’s most challenging and celebrated grape to make fine wine.

Haystack Gallery will be hosting a wine tasting on Mar.13. As part of the Saturday event, artist Michael Tieman will unveil in bronze ‘The Wine Thief' his newest sculpture in the Hands of the Artists collection. Sally O'Neill will have two new oil paintings in the gallery especially created for this wine event from her wine and flowers series.This year from 1-4pm Helvetia Winery will be pouring some of their fine wines in the gallery.
