Mike Smith

MikeSmith2HaystackCome and explore the wonderful fanciful worlds created by artist Mike Smith. An influential artist both nationally and internationally, he began sculpting and drawing as a child. Mike received a degree in English Literature from the University of Portland, taught briefly, and then became committed to developing his art on a professional level. His early work was abstract, but Mike soon abandoned schools of art and developed his unique, colorful style which has subsequently influenced other artists. His work contains worldwide themes and ideas, but the focus of his painting and sculpture remains the hill where he lives. In his thirty plus year career, he has had almost 100 solo exhibitions of his work which includes watercolor, oil, acrylic, bronze, ceramic, and printmaking.

Eric Langeliers

Eric LangeliersEric Langeliers is a metal artist who specializes in making wall sculptures. He has been cutting and welding since taking high school shop classes. He uses a plasma lead torch to cut out the larger pieces such as land, water and wildlife, and then uses an oxygen-acetylene cutting torch for more detailed work such as trees. Langeliers became a full-time artist after working as a millwright. He has been a hunter and fisherman since he was a youngster and he's now turning the memories of those experiences into his metal art. An eagle with a fish in its talons is one of his favorite pieces.

Huibert VanDrimmelen

HuibertVanDrimmelenHuibert VanDrimmelen was born in Ziest, The Netherlands in 1950. In 1957 his parents immigrated to Canada and settled in B.C. During Huibert's childhood he was always attracted to the arts. He graduated from Langara College in 1972 with an art major. In 1976 Huibert began teaching painting and continued the process of learning new skills in watercolor, oil, and acrylics. After several successful art shows in the early 90's, Huibert concentrated on commissions and other interests involving travel and 'The Artisan'. This was a defining time in Huibert's journey as an artist and was the beginning of his adventure into mixed media, and representation in over twenty countries around the world.

Sue Howells

SueHowells

Sue Howells has been active in the market place for several years, and now has a reputation as one of the top selling artists in the UK, providing work for Harrods and John Lewis, as well as for galleries abroad - from the USA to New Zealand. She also provides paintings for TV programs and advertisements. "And now just a little about me. I began painting in 1982 and am self taught in all aspects of watercolour painting. I joined the RBSA in 1988 and have exhibited in London, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Ireland. I like to paint solely in watercolours, because I think it lets me produce pictures which are both energetic and which have a strong compositional value".
