The sixth-annual Cannon Beach Cottage Tour, put on by the Cannon Beach History Center and Museum (CBHCM) will feature houses in Tolovana Park dating from early- to mid-twentieth century.

One of the cottages in the tour features a garden that has appeared in many national publications. A pre-tour luncheon and lecture will be held at the Tolovana Inn from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on the day of the tour, and the self-guided walking tour will take place from 1-4:00 p.m. People are invited to take part in a post-tour reception at the Cannon Beach History Center from 4:30-5:30 p.m (corner of Spruce and Sunset Streets). Luncheon/lecture tickets cost $15.00 and walking tour & reception tickets $15 (Total package: $30). Tickets can be purchased after July 1st by calling (503) 739-0974, or at CBHCM. Walking tour tickets can also be purchased on the day of the tour. The Cottage Tour includes a wall-hanging raffle featuring a cottage-themed quilt by Jean Williams. The drawing will take place at 5:00 p.m. as part of the post-tour reception. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the History Center, $1/one ticket or $5/six tickets.

The Cottage Tour lecture features a talk by Margaret Doman, whose connections to the Arch Cape/Cannon Beach area stretch back to 1961.Doman has been active in many organizations, including the Redmond Historical Society and Habitat for Humanity. She has made trips on behalf of Rotary Club to Ethiopia and India. Her lecture will give listeners a fascinating peek into the history of Tolovana Park and each cottage on the tour.
