The Ocean Lodge hosts a Special Reception of Artists and Musicians for a weekend of art, music, cuisine, photography and more during Cannon Beach’s Stormy Weather Arts Festival November 6-8, 2009.
You are invited to a special reception at The Ocean Lodge, Saturday, November 7th from 4 - 6pm, featuring nature photographer, Phil Knouf and painter, Leah Anderson, who will be showcasing their works.
Enjoy refreshments and live acoustic guitar by well known musician, Kit Garoutte. This is a free event. Currently Kit Garoutte performs most frequently as a solo artist. His original compositions for fingerstyle guitar utilize elements of many genres, the most apparent being jazz and new acoustic with classical, celtic, funk, rhythm and blues, soul, folk and blues coloring the mix in a most delightful way. In addition, Kit's instrumental repertoire includes an ecclectic mix of his arrangements of 'cover' material ranging from jazz standards by the likes of Miles DavisLeah Anderson paintings at The Ocean Lodge and Duke Ellington to smooth jazz tunes from Earl Klugh and Dave Grusin stretching across the board all the way to classic rock from The Allman Brothers.
Plan to spend the weekend with us to enjoy all the festivities including a concert by Blues Singer, Linda Hornbuckle on Saturday night at the Coaster Theatre. Details at this website.
