|SOLV recruits volunteers for North Coast beach clean-up|

Who knows what you could stumble over while cleaning Clatsop County's beaches - maybe Buoy 6?
"That was definitely one of the stranger things we've picked up," said Fort Stevens Park Ranger Dane Osis.
A volunteer group happened on the buoy in 2008 during SOLV's spring beach clean-up event. The nonprofit organization holds two annual beach clean-ups, one in the fall and one in the spring.
Osis says that there is always more trash in the spring clean-up, after winter storms have swept through the area, than there is in the fall.
Now it's time for SOLV's 25th annual Fall Beach Clean-up. Hundreds of volunteers will take to Oregon's beaches on Saturday, Sept.19. They will work from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. to make the coast a better place, picking up trash and hauling out debris. Read Article
