The Oregon Coast swings again when the spirit of New Orleans comes to the Southern Oregon Coast during Southcoast Clambake Jazz Festival March 12 thru 14, 2010.

This annual festival features an exciting blend of two- and four- beat, Dixieland, and classic rag "Hot Jazz", all the music you love! Experience the jazz era with energetic flavor, vintage attire and a contagious New Orleans passion. All Events badge admits you to all performance sites in the festival as the bands perform with innovative and humorous style. Discover the colorful history of jazz with knowledgeable speakers.

Remember to bring your dancing shoes

and don your  20s-60s vintage duds and embrace the jazz culture with dancing, food and  sublime  music from eleven bands coming together to pay tribute to America’s original music such as Dixieland, Big Band, Jump & Jive, Rock & Roll, Zydeco, Blues and Doo-wop. There will be a dance review class (with partners available) prior to the festival.

On field trips, you'll explore the magic of the south coast of Oregon at nearby beaches and parks. Marine estuaries, old-growth forests and beaches characterize the natural landscape of this historic port city on Oregon’s South Coast. Coos Bay is close to Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Cape Arago and the fishing port of Charleston

The jazz events will be held at various locations throughout Coos Bay, Charleston and North Bend including the Mill Casino Hotel and RV Park.
