Depoe Bay's Cruise-In To Drive Out Hunger is this Saturday 10, 2009 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will benefit the Depoe Bay Food Pantry. All cars and motorcycles are invited to participate in this event.

Registration and judging will take place in the Depoe Bay City Park from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A $15 fee and food donation is required for each entry. This year, the public will judge vehicles, and every vote counts. Trophies will be awarded in 11 categories. The awards ceremony will start at 3 p.m., featuring '50s, '60s and '70s music spun by disk jockey Steve Lowenberg.

Other events of the day include a raffle and a poker walk. Raffle tickets can be purchased from event volunteers throughout the day, and the drawing will take place during the awards ceremony in the park.

Interested walkers do not have to enter the cruise-in to participate in the poker walk, and can register between 10 a.m. and noon for $5 to get a map and instructions.

The public is invited to bring nonperishable food items for the Depoe Bay Food Pantry, and join in a day of fun. The cruise in will also feature a cheeseburger feed with cheeseburgers, trimmings, chips, drink, and homemade cookies for $8. www.treasuredepoebay.com
