All are invited to come and experience the incredible sights and sounds of indoor kite flying, March 27-28, 2010, at the seventh annual Lincoln City Indoor Kite Festival. This unique event will feature some of the best indoor kite fliers from not only the Northwest, but also the East Coast, and Canada. Featured fliers include acrobatic entertainment artists, Lee and Debbie Park. The Parks defy gravity by combining choreographed indoor kite flying and gymnastics. They have performed around the world including the World Figure Skating Championships in Germany, the Hilton Skating and Gymnastics Spectacular in Atlanta. Lee and Debbie will be working with other sponsored fliers to create an indoor performance that will tantalize the senses and intrigue the audience. The festival will also feature an AKA competition for indoor kite flying on Sunday, March 28. Awards will be given for the top three places. There will be an abundance of free flying times for everyone to take lessons and practice indoor skills. The venue has two large areas for your flying pleasure. A new addition to the kite festival is our Kids Carnival. Revisit those old memories of the school carnivals you attended when you were a child, be it the face painter or the fishpond, there will be something to do for everyone! The festival will be held at Taft High School at 3780 SE Spyglass Ridge, just two blocks east of Highway 101 at High School Drive. This great family friendly event admission is only $3 adults, $2 teens (13 to 17 years old) and free for children 12 years old and under, with a paying adult. Lincoln City…A Great Place to Try New Things!
