The event is based upon the murder mystery, "Body in the Bloody Water Well" by Ram Papish, an 1898 themed mystery. Participants are encouraged to wear 1890's costumes throughout the event. The cast will vote for best costume at the "Big Reveal" Saturday night.
Participants of the murder mystery will have the opportunity to interrogate the suspects at the Sleuth Social. Admission is $15.00 for adults and $8.00 for youths 5-15. Children under 5 are free. The event continues Saturday morning when guests pick up clue packets at Nye Cottage in Nye Beach at 9 am. Guests will search for the murderer by visiting designated merchants in the Nye Beach area from 10 am – 3 pm and meet costumed suspects to gather clues. Saturday evening at 7 pm the "Big Reveal" will announce the culprit and prizes will be awarded for best costume at the Oregon Coast Aquarium. There will also be a raffle and photo opportunities for participants.
The packet includes two sleuth cards good for admission into the Aquarium for the Big Reveal Saturday night and discounts from local area merchants.
