|Valentine's Day in Newport|
Newport Oregon is a popular Oregon Coast destination on any weekend, and doubly so on any sunny weekend. But, Newport serves up some great reasons why people love it. The beach is huge and perfect for playing in the waves, flying a kite, or running your dog. There are plenty of delicious places to devour the bounty of Oregon Coast's fresh seafood. And, from crabbing to fishing to shops and unique attractions like Undersea World and the sea lions, there is no shortage of things to do in Newport.
It is certainly one of our favorite places to to visit when we want a change of scenery. So, that's just where we headed for this past Valentine's Day weekend. We walked the shops on Bay street, watched the sea lions, spent time playing frisbee on Nye Beach and enjoyed plenty of great food at places like Rogue Ales Public House, the Chowder Bowl, South Beach Fish Market, and Local Ocean (one of our very favorite seafood restaurants on the Oregon Coast).
