The Oregon Department of Agriculture announced today that the entire Oregon coast is open to recreational mussel harvesting.

The south coast from Bastendorf Beach to the California line had been closed to recreational harvesting of mussels since Oct. 23.

Shellfish samples taken last week indicate levels of paralytic shellfish toxins have dropped below the alert level.
