Organizers were concerned because of the down economy, said Del Stephens, the tournament director. Instead, the 1,400 people involved in the summer series — anglers and volunteers — and the 81 sponsors were both Classic records... The fifth annual Oregon Tuna Classic tournament series contributed $20,000 and more than nine tons of tuna to the Oregon Food Bank.
