Enjoy three fun filled days in Winchester Bay with Live Music, Bazaar, children's Parade, Open House at the shops, Famous Seafood Barbecue, Games for young and old. Coast Guard Demonstrations...Kayak races on the Umpqua River. A summer's worth of fun packed into three days. Ocean Fest Bazzar
The Winchester Bay Community Center, formerly the Grange Hall, will host a sale during Ocean Fest, all three days from 9am to 5pm. Our famously fabulous cinnamon rolls will be fresh from the oven each day. A variety of other baked goods to try and to take home include coffee cakes, cookies and more. Just follow your nose to 7th and Broadway. In addition to the bake sale, a flea market will be set up in the Center. Look for that unique special-something, or rummage for a treasure you didn't know you needed! A Bali batik new clothing sale makes its first appearance at this year's event. Ocean Fest Quilt Show
A terrific showing of antique and wonderfully crafted quilts are on display. Quilters are on site to talk about the quilts and answer questions. Visit the Quilter's Boutique in the annex to purchase materials, supplies and, of course, quilts. The Quilt Show and Sale is open Friday & Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm. On Sunday from 12:30 - 4 pm. Rock hounds gather to share information, techniques and tales. Vendor booths offer tools of the trade, gems, jewelry and found treasures. Displays of the varieties of rocks and gems are both informative and fun. Kids are welcome, and games are geared for children's participation. Raffle and door prizes will be given away to visitors. There will be a 12-mile marathon race from the Discovery Center in Reedsport to Winchester Bay for wind kayaks, single pedal and paddle kayaks and for tandem pedal and paddle kayaks. There also will be six 4-mile short course races beginning in Winchester Bay, circling a buoy in the Umpqua River and returning to Winchester Bay. Ocean Fest has been a Winchester Bay tradition for 29 years. This Southern Oregon Coast event has grown and changed over time but it's still a favorite "down-home" event. The local merchants welcome visitors and would love a chance to meet you.
Quilts, quilts & more quilts The Annual Quilt Show and Sale will take place as usual, at the Reedsport United Presbyterian Church, located at 2360 Longwood Drive, Reedsport.
Gem & Mineral Show The annual Gem and Mineral Show is an Ocean Fest favorite. Located in Reedsport at the Community Building, 451 Winchester Avenue, the show will be open Friday and Saturday 10am - 6pm, and on Sunday 10am - 4pm.
The Gardiner-Reedsport Lions Club and the Reedsport/ Winchester Bay Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring the annual Ocean Fest Kayak Race on the Umpqua River.
