Rockaway Beach

Rockaway has 7 miles of beautiful and strollable beaches. Both the beach and the town are generally more laid-back and less crowded than its bigger neighbors to the north and south. 

The Rockaway Beach Kite Festival in May and the Pirate Festival in June bring crowds to town and both are great family activities. 

With a handful of interesting and tasty restaurants, plenty of vacations rentals, a few motels, and some fun street vendors in the summer, Rockaway is the perfect place for a week or a weekend.
