"More than just a day in the pumpkin patch"

Gargantuan gourds of a thousand pounds or more will compete in this official Pumpkin Commonwealth event. Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers, in conjunction with the Seaside Downtown Development Association invite you to this one-of-a-kind contest!

Weigh off officially starts with Maverick Weights and Scales at 12 noon North side of the Carousel Mall. Growers are welcomed to unload anytime after 8am. United Rentals have donated the fork lifts and we armed and dangerous with drivers! Recreational Bowling Lanes will be hosting a pumpkin roll off at noon in the parking lot next to the weigh off.

Prizes to be awarded from local merchants. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Seaside Food Bank or the Parks Project. After the Weigh off enjoy food, fun and vendors at the Seaside Elks Oktoberfest.

Bring the entire family and enjoy a day of unbelievable sights and sounds.

The Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers and local participants will enjoy the day and a chance to win some serious prize money! An event that brings together people from all over the state to show off their giant (and not so giant) pumpkins and compete. Farmers start arriving and unloading at 10am. Weigh Off officially begins at noon.

The PGVG growers can expect a day of fierce competition and Clatsop County residents can enter their home grown field ones for the "Locals" contest.

Evergreen Bowling Lanes will set up chances to pumpkin bowl in the city parking lot across from the Convention Center.

Seaside Oktoberfest

After the weigh off, enjoy the music, crafts, food and Beer Garden, of the Seaside Oktoberfest at the Seaside Elks Lodge. Proceeds will go to the Elks Scholarship Fund for local students. Music will be offered from 2 to 6 p.m. and the featured musical group, Those Darn Accordions, will entertain from 6 to 9 p.m.
