Harmony By The Sea

Seaside, Oregon - The 26th Annual Barbershop Cabaret presented by the Seaside Chamber of Commerce and Quartet Champions of the Evergreen District (QCED) will present a melodious lineup of a cappella vocal entertainment. A variety of world championship quartets and a male choir of forty voices are included in the program.

Shows will be held Friday and Saturday January 15-16, 2010 at the Seaside Convention Center, 415 1st Ave, Seaside, Oregon. The Cabaret features unique song arrangements from International, National and District Competition Winners and the best quartets in the Pacific Northwest. This year’s show will include champion groups Friendly Advice, Vocal Magic, Overtime,  3 Outa Four and 2009 champions Fast Track.

Friday the doors open at 6:00 p.m. The show begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person and $5 for students. Saturday the doors open at 6:30 pm.  The show begins at 7:30 pm. Reserved seat tickets are $20 and in the back section $17. Parking is free and adult beverages are available.

The Friday casual, club-style show is a warm, up close, “get to know these guys” presentation. It will have you tappin’ your toes and smiling at the humor and charm of these Barbershoppers who love to sing for you.  Saturday will feature an impressive display of all of the quartets singing in harmony as well as individual quartet performances by Championship groups.

The Evergreen District of Quartet Competitions includes groups from Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Montana as well as British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.
