Join The Yachats independence day celebration,including their 16th (they think) annual, Yachats "la de da" Parade at noon on JULY 4.
Enjoy great food and music events all day. "la de da" Parade Route:This fun, whimsical, low-tech Oregon Coast Parade assembles at 11 a.m. behind the Yachats Commons on W 4th St and Hwy 101. The parade begins at Noon traveling west on 4th St to Ocean View Dr., then south and east to Beach St. where it disperses just beyond the Yachats Post Office. Parade Rules & Application: You will find the rules and parade application form here or pick them up at the Yachats Visitors Center: 241 Hwy 101, 800-929-0477, 541-547-3530. Applications are accepted until July 1. To Watch: A great place to watch the parade is from the lawn at Yachats State Park at the west end of 2nd St. across from the ocean. Before and After The "la de da" Parade:(preliminary schedule) Yachats Ladies Club 11th Annual Pie & Ice Cream Social11 a.m. to 3pm The Yachats Ladies Club will wow you with an incredible variety of delicious pies. Come early for the best selection and before the pie is gone. Yachats Farmers Market9 a.m. - 2 p.m. 5th Annual Duck for Kids Race2:30 p.m. Launching near the Yachats River Bridge, just south of downtown Yachats. 1,200 Rubber Duckies will be dropped from the bridge to race down the Yachats River!
