Oregon Coastal Celtic Music Festival of Yachats


November 9-11 2012

For the 11th year, the Coastal Celtic Music Festival of Yachats returns to beautiful Yachats, Oregon with an array of concerts and workshops from some of Celtic music's finest players. Kevin Burke and Cal Scott are scheduled to headline the festival as it celebrates 11 years of music from all of the Celtic regions of the world.

Main stage concerts on Friday and Saturday nights at the Yachats Commons will also include performances from:

"Celtic music is truly a global phenomenon and thrives in places not traditionally associated with Ireland and Scotland," says festival organizer Hanz Araki. "Japan is one of those places. It is our commitment to represent as many of the regions in the world as possible where this music originated and continues to grow." The festival will continue to represent music from areas lesser known for their contributions to Celtic traditional music such as Galicia and Asturias, Brittany, Quebec, and Nova Scotia in addition to Ireland and Scotland.
